There are always emerging healthcare laws and federal regulation reforms to help shape in formed the healthcare delivery system. This will have an impact on nursing practice and the nurses role and responsibility within their facility. These changes help prevent complications and provide quality measures for positive patient outcomes (McNiff, 2018). Outline a current or emerging health care law or federal regulation introduced to reform or restructure some aspect of the health care delivery system. Describe the effect of this on nursing practice and the nurse's role and responsibility. In June 2020 the Democrats introduced the patient protection and affordable care enhancement act which helps expand on the affordable care act. The patient protection and affordable care enhancement act is designed to help accessibility and affordability in the United States for healthcare. Some ways that the reform is being introduced is that it includes incentives for some states which includes a pay increase for Medicaid primary care providers (Kaiser Family Foundation, 2018).
