After the story, students will discuss the important elements such as who, what, where, when, why. This will help focus on comprehension, communication, and language development. Classroom and Student Factors/Grouping: The classroom hosts nine fifth grade students, of which three students are on IEPs. These three students have disabilities ranging from reading, ASD, and emotional and behavioral disorders. These affect all areas of academics. There are two students who have mild ID and another with a speech language impairment with reading needs.The classroom also has a student who is repeating fifth grade while a new student is also in the class, but their records have yet to be at the school, however reports that this is the second time in fifth grade. All students are below their peers.
