The patient will be given information of all the treatment that will be given and the patient then makes a decision if they want to consent or refuse the treatment. Also the physicians have the duty to let their patient know any and all risks that the treatment could have. Texas Under the Texas law, all physicians must inform the patient of any medical risk of the medical treatment. The physician is responsible to make sure that the patient obtains an informed consent before any treatment the hospitals, nurses, surgical assistants, and referring physician™s do not owe this duty to their patients. The Texas Medical Disclosure Panel was created to evaluate medical and surgical procedures and determine whether disclosure is required for them. (Thornton, 2000). Also, the Texas Medical Disclosure Panel will do an evaluation and once it™s done they are placed on list which they have list A or List B. The list A will have the procedures which require disclosure or specific disclosure and List B is the list that contains no disclousre whatsoever. The panel is who obtains the information for all procedures List A or List B.
