The pediatric nurse cares for patients under the age of 18. They care for patients within a hospital setting designed for those patients under the age of 18. The patients come from a lower economic community and would possibly have social issues due to that. A Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) who works for a large health care system™s Urgent Care Center (UCC) but in their satellite clinic in a rural community, has yet a different professional practice. Nurse Practitioner Interview Dr. Edith Roe, PhD, AGPCNP, is an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who also hold a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership. Dr. Roe has a small private practice office in the small rural community of Homedale, Idaho. Dr. Roe graduated from a BSN program in 1981. She worked as a critical care nurse in both the ICU and ED while raising her family. Dr. Roe actually has two master™s degrees.
