This essay will include a King County Reentry plan with specific goals and strategies. Furthermore, include will be a list of activities and how the offender will benefit from them. Goal 1: Address housing needs of inmate's post-incarceration The goal is to address the housing needs of an inmate post-incarceration. Inmates who don™t have hosingwhen released are at higher risk of returning to prison, hence increasingrecidivism. To reduce recidivism, inmates must have established housing before their release so that they don't face homelessness or return to prison. Having a stable place to live when released helps the inmate focus on everything else, they must adjust to upon release. The goal is to focus on finding stable and safe housing with family, third-party organizations, or governmentassistance. One strategy to begin focusing on the goal at hand is to create relationships. It starts by speaking to friends and family members andasking if anyone is willing to house the offenderpost-incarceration.
