According to the American Psychological Association, (APA), Psychological assessments are used for various reasons such as diagnosed psychological disorders, emotional factors that may be associated with medical complaints, assessments for neuropsychological deficits, psychological treatment for chronic pain, and treatment of chemical dependency within many other behavioral challenges in children and adults.  One of the most common purposes of the assessment and tests is to observe and assess behavior in order to diagnose and execute a treatment plan. Psychology uses various types of assessments and tests in order to measure the degree of deficits or behavioral challenges an individual has. Some of the assessment tools used are neuropsychological and biopsychosocial assessments.  These assessments are used in clinical settings, by licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, and doctors.  They assess psychological problems, evaluate a diagnosis to ensure an appropriate treatment plan for the individual.
