I worked in a classroom that was filled with 23 students on a military base, my role was to provide each one of my students with a high- quality learning experience and a healthy learning environment. It was important to make sure that I met the needs of each student in order to make sure that they were successful. The purpose of my study is to get parents to be more involved in their students™ education. It is important for family engagement and participation; having the parents involved and engaged in their child™s education will be part of my study. When parents are engaged and involved it gives their child a sense of stability and a comfort in knowing they are cared about. It is vital for students to feel as if their parents/caregivers are engaged and interested in their learning experience. œNumerous studies have shown that parent engagement, beginning as early as the preschool years, has positive effects on children's literacy and math skills (Gross, Bettencourt, Taylor, Francis, Bower, and Singleton, 2020).
