exec summary.docx Business Strategy – C714 Task 3 Currently, EZ-Pleeze is a top 5 producer of corn and potato products in the United States. Their vision it to get to a top3 producer. They... currently supply over 50% of the nations fast food restaurants, many of whom wish to go global. Their biggest asset is their employees and they provide them with many great benefits. They are a leader in Research and Development and are widely known as good corporate citizens. However, their profits are thin and cost of golds sold is high. Lately, there has been some negative publicity surrounding labor and government regulations. All of this combined with their CEO stepping down, the company is in need of a new business strategy. Their mission statement identifies the product; which is corn and potato products. Identifies the buyers needs; high quality product and customer service, which also specifies its approach to pleasing customers. Provides the company an identity by stating that their research and development leads the United States. What the mission statement is missing is the identification of the customer groups they wish to serve. The vision statement however, is inspiring and motivating. It lets employees and customers know exactly where the company wants to go. A thorough SWOT analysis was conducted and a wide range of strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats were identified.
