Advantage of Manipulative 1: One advantage is AngLegs allow students the opportunity to practice measuring perimeters and area of the shapes they created. Disadvantage of Manipulative 1: A classroom teacher will not be able to purchase a whole classroom set because they are expensive, so every student will not be able to use them at the same time. Use/Application Manipulative 2: Plastic two-color counters are circle disks with yellow on one side and red on the other. Students can use these to help with addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Advantage of Manipulative 2: These are very inexpensive, so a school district could easily provide classroom sets for teachers.
