Policy development is not a quick process but an important step in making changes. Implementation of policy that has been developed for the better of the facility will take time and adequate training for staff to be confident in utilizing tools that new policy provides. There is not one person that will be responsible for training all hospital staff, utilizing a team approach will ensure that all staff on all shifts get proper education. This training program will start in only the emergency department and will then move to the floors once the problems are worked out. Promoting Staff Buy-In Staff at the bedside performing direct patient care must buy-in to the new policy otherwise implementation will take longer and be more difficult (Wall and Sullivan, 2021). Staff buy-in must occur from all staff including management, not just the trainers or staff providing care, buy-in must be systemic for project to have proper implementation and long-term positive effects.
