Woods, who is currently the Manager of Urgent Care for Cigna Medical Group. She manages two separate Urgent Cares, one located in central Phoenix area, and one located in the east valley of Phoenix. She reports directly to the Director of Urgent Care. Each Urgent Care has an office for her, 6 patient rooms, 3 treatment rooms, and is staffed with RNs, LPN, MAs, MDs, NPs, and front desk staff. The role of the Manager consists of recruitment and retention of staff, ensuring quality outcomes through ongoing staff development and education, maintains customer satisfaction, and supports the core values of Cigna Medical Group. She must consistently maintain open communication throughout the team, assist in problem solving and concerns within the staff, manage staffing levels, perform employee evaluations, and maintain policies and procedures set forth by corporate During the interview it was mentioned frequently that job satisfaction throughout the staff has been significantly declined over the past year, intensifying with the onset of COVID in March of 2020.
