But the question is –do patients receiveadequate care to be healthy? or are they given theappropriate patient resources to make the right decisions for ourcare? Tracing back the history of healthcare, there has been inadequacy in our patient care quality and safety. “Health care & hospitals” (2019) contends several factors that hospitals in many states were segregated by race resulting to extensive racialism, the absence of pain management, hospital admissions were longer, smoking on hospital premises, doctors withholding patient healthcare information, the norm of aseptic technique is not a followed, hospitals manipulate patient treatment costs and etc. According to Marjoua&Bozic (2012), academic health quality movements developed approaches to address the deficiencies in the delivery of healthcare.
