IT133_Unit_2.docx IT-133 OneDrive Purdue Global University For the first step in creating a OneDrive account I went to the homepage and attempted to create an account. However, little did I rem... ember that I already had an account from several years back. In order to reactive my account I had to reset my password. In order to create a new folder I just selected the + sign indicating that I was creating a new folder within my OneDrive account. Once you double click on the folder it opens up and you are able to add products to this specific folder. I clicked upload and was able to select my document to add to the IT133 folder. I believe keeping past documents is beneficial both professionally and academically. I have thought back to previous assignments Ive completed and needed to actually use them while at work. Personally I think its helpful to store your past documents because one of your peers might potentially need help in a similar class and you can reference the material you used to complete an assignment. Also, its safer to save documents in more than one place in the event of a system failure. For instance, if I only kept files on my desktop and I lost my computer or it had a malfunction all my work would have been inaccessible to me for future use. With new technology and having the ability to store things in the “cloud” we sometimes forget that there can be serious downfalls with this type of storage.
