(2) What would be the objectives of the leadership development program? What would be its main components? Why? How will you measure its effectiveness? Answer- I am the VP of Altria Group, Inc. (Which was previously known as Philip Morris Companies Inc.). It is a US-based multinational company that produces the most significant amount of cigarette and tobacco-related products. Right now, Altria Group, Inc. is in the process of developing a geocentric staffing approach. Geocentric Approach can be defined as the method of global recruitment where all the multinational companies hire the best suitable individual for the job irrespective of their nationality. The reason behind the Geocentric Approach is that the earth is a pond of multi-talented staff with the most eligible candidate, who is an expert in his field, and he can be appointed for the job of his nationality. With the help of a geocentric Approach, all the MNC's can develop a pond of senior executives and international level quality experiences and contacts across the world. I will consider the charismatic leadership program, and it will be consistent with my company's geocentric Approach to global staffing. This leadership program will help the individuals to encourage particular behaviors of others with eloquent personality, communication, and persuasion. In the charismatic leadership program, employees will learn how to motivate their followers and improve their followers' work ratio and get things done in a certain improved way. The primary basis of the charismatic leadership style is heroism.
