C455 TASK 1.docx C455 "Harry Potter and the Unknown Girl He Saved" Western Governors University As early as I can remember, I was considered the €œdumb kid. € I was in special educati... on classes and had to have help with reading, writing, and speaking. I was extremely sensitive to the situation I was in and couldn t see a way out. It wasn t that I had a difficult time understanding material, it was that I could not process what I was reading. I couldn't match sounds to letters, or spell them. I have few fond memories of my early education beyond recess, P.E., and art class. I can remember getting sweaty hands, my heart racing, and my mouth getting dry when getting called on for reading a sentence or doing a math problem. I retreated more and more into myself trying to make myself smaller so I wouldn t be called on.
