Yes 2.How much morphine will you draw up? 0.9 ml 3.How will you dilute it to assure minimal burning at the IV site? Dilute appropriate dose with at least 5 ml of sterile water or normal saline. 4.How long will you push? Over 4-5 minutes. How will you pace yourself? By timing the push with clock; so, if the medication is diluted with 5 ml’s, it would be 1 ml about every 50 seconds. 5.What will you watch as you push? Wristwatch or wall clock.
