Many children face hyperactive impulses as well as the inability to have a consistent attention span, some even have struggles with outgrowing the symptoms and they take them with them through adulthood (Mayo Clinic, 2020). With the intent to educate families and caretakers on the disorder, websites like Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) that was established in 1987, has the intent to inform others that ADHD is a serious and treatable disorder (CHADD, 2020). CHADD is an established resource as shown through their credibility, informative goals, and updated content. As an evidence-based source for ADHD, The National Resource Center (NRC) – a CHADD program – has a sound mission of providing information on the disorder for anyone affected by the disorder (CHADD, 2020). In order to keep the modern-day public informed on ADHD, each social media link is provided by the CHADD to build a virtual community, as well as an address and phone number for more proper communicative purposes.
