Social workers must communicate with a lot of different people on a daily basis the main people we will have to talk with is our clients. We also have to have effective communication when deciding if a child is in an abusive or mental health emergency, because it™s our job to keep them safe. As a social worker you need to be able to communicate that since you are a mandatory abuse reporter. Effective communication is also very important for social workers because you have to provide therapy for your clients and listen and hear what they say.
