BUS FP3011 Assessment2 1.docx BUS_FP 3011 Planning and Organization Capella University Planning and Organization The new corporate goal to double our $5 million in sales from last year is am... bitious, I believe with the right plan in place the sales and marketing team will comfortably help in reaching this goal. To achieve this plan, I intend to rollout a series of changes over the next three months to the department, structure, and function of management within the Sales and Marketing department. With my plan in place I believe we™ll see growth in a short period of time. My first objective will be to hire and increase non-management staff members by double. To assist in reaching the goal, I believe this is a critical first step. By hiring new staff, it will not only bring new added spirit, it will bring the workforce needed in the handling of the increased business. The goal will be to have hiring and company training completed in one months™ time, this will be expected by the sales, customer service, and market research departments. I deem the hiring of new staff an essential step in assuring the goal is achieved. I will expect to see benefit of this expansion by the end of the first quarter. This allows for ample time for new and old staff to get adjusted and bring about increased productivity. The addition of new employees can bring new challenges to accomplish.
