Purpose of the Consultation and Summary of Consultation Process The purpose of this consultation was to interview a nurse leader within the health organization of Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Atlanta. The nurse leader interviewed was Ms. LaToya Griffin, the committee chair for the Unit Base Council in the infusion department. During the interview, we were able to identify changes that the Unit Base Council is working on to improve departmental procedures to improve patient care and safety.
