The next section will discuss professional collaboration in counseling while working with a multidisciplinary team. The third section will discuss relationships with supervisors and colleagues. The final section will discuss my development of thinking about ethics. Throughout this paper I will discuss some examples of different types of ethical issues that may arise while working with other counselors, supervisors, and clients. Boundary Issues and Dual Relationships In counseling boundary issues can arise between anyone. People often build relationships with others that they see or meet up with often. In a professional setting, a counselor should understand what boundary issues they could run into. A counselor should also be able to determine when a boundary has been unethically crossed. A dual relationship can be considered unethical. A dual relationship not unlike a multiple relationship happens when a professional accepts or considers two or more relationships with a client.
