If a student is to break these rules, depending on the rule and severity of the infraction there is a due process. For example, students who violate any part of the dress code, must have clothes brought to them or wear school approved attire. Outlined in the student handbook is the process of consequences due to an infraction, 1st offense is usually a warning, 2nd resulting in a parent conference, 3rd could result in hour detention, 4th offense results in referral to admin such as going to the office or principle, any severe offense could result in immediately being sent to the office. (Durant High School Handbook 2020) These offenses must be documented, in order for a student to get suspended or expelled from the school due to excessive offences. This is also so that the students and parents are aware of the offenses as well as the consequences the student received due to the offense.
