(Kitsap County Health Department, 2020) (B1) Health Inequity/Disparity Health disparities and imbalances were seen in the community assessment of the general population in many of the older adult populations. Kitsap County, in the state of Washington, is ranked third in Washington State for overall health outcomes, however, falls short on the majority of the older adult population in access to healthcare, morbidities, physical distress, diabetes prevalence, physical inactivity, uninsured adults, and preventable hospital stays. (University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, 2020) Vaccines are well below the top U.S. performers and are profoundly affected by misinformation and lack of education from multiple sources. (Williams et al., 2016) Eight percent of the population of Kitsap County is uninsured, and the life expectancy is 80 years.
