One complaint is from an employee who was fired for using company computers to talk with other workers through social media regarding the upcoming union vote. The second complaint is from a potential employee who was being interviewed by the All Souls Hospitals HR interviewer. The applicant states she was sexually harassed during the interview and was then denied the position. During the first complaintregarding the union worker being fired for using company equipment, All Souls Hospital does not have adequate grounds for the firing. The employee and a union steward brought a grievance to the HRM department about the termination. At that time the employee and union steward decided that they did not get the resolution they were wanting, the HRM maintained their stance on the employee dismissal. The union steward and employee have since submitted a written grievance to the production superintendent and department supervisor. The All Souls Hospital team again stood behind their decision on firing the employee by providing a written statement to the union and employee. The union has now brought the grievance to the HRM Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the hospital.
