BCIS 502- What happens when our computers get smarter than we are According to Nick Bostrom, the speaker in ‘What happens when our computers get smarter than we are?‘, Artificial Intelligence or ... AI, will have a larger knowledge base and capacity than what human are capable of. Currently, Outside Insight valuates that “things like natural speech/voice recognition, language and video data comprehension are still in their infancy when it comes to matching the capabilities of the human brain” (Outside Inight, 2018). Bostrom claimed that this is possible over time because of the lack of confines that we as humans are limited to (i.e. the space in our skull for our brains) (Bostrom, N. 2015). “AI can deal with different issues faster because human neurons propagate slower than computer signal.
