Background In this lab, you will become very familiar with what is known as a titration, one of the most accurate of all analytical procedures. In a titration, titrant (a standardized reagent) is delivered via a buret or another device designed to measure volume. The titrant reacts with the analyte in solution at a known stoichiometry. The amount of titrant is typically varied until a chemical equivalence point is reached. This is typically monitored via a change in color or a sharp change on a pH meter.
